Look what came in the mail the other day.😍 Blood Relations by Dr. Michael Likey! @drmichaellikeyauthor

My review: (I was feeling silly when I wrote this, I should probably update it to something more professional😅)

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

If Mel Brooks made a vampire erotica it would be Blood Relations! Blood Relations is laugh out loud hilarious and sexy at the same time. It just works! More than that—it’s bloody brilliant. I love humor fused with horror and Dr. Michael Likey does this masterfully. The concept of a dark humor vampire erotica is something I didn’t know I needed until I read this. Hands in your pants fun, this erotica is a quick read that will have you thirsting for more!

Set in the 1800s, Blood Relations includes some iconic names that add to the punny fun and late-night mischievousness. The running joke of the bathroom will have you in stitches! I can’t remember the last time I had so much fun reading a book! Blood Relations is for anyone who likes vampires, has a twisted sense of humor, and loves their smut!

For readers who want more, don’t worry, there is a book two!

"Not for the prudish nor the faint of heart, but wildly entertaining, Dr. Michael Likey's
first erotic horror novella boasts it all: vampires, werewolves, vampire hunters, masquerade balls,
late night stalking through the London fog, Scotland Yard, occult rituals and plenty of twists and
turns. My favorite part was the winks to all kinds of double entendres and characters through some
thinly-veiled play-on-names (my favorites included "Anthony Whole" and "Richard Tracee"). And all
the action ends with the door wide open (literally and figuratively) for a sequel or two. While there's
plenty of endings for plenty of characters, I'm betting this universe is just beginning. Can't wait to see
what happens next! Bravo, Dr. Likey!"

From Chris McAuley:
“Blood Relations is a bold and unapologetic descent into the unholy heart of vampire lore. As co-creator of the StokerVerse, I celebrate works like this that refuse to shy away from the grotesque beauty and raw sensuality of the genre. Michael Likey’s vision is both fearless and feverish—exactly the kind of storytelling that keeps the blood flowing through gothic horror’s dark veins.”
— Chris McAuley, Co-Creator of the StokerVerse

"A story to sink your teeth in!!
Blood Relations comes at you swinging full force with hyper-extreme, passionate relationships built within mystery and humor. The vampiric characters are reminiscent of True Blood, the TV show; however, he takes vampire and lycanthropic lore to a whole new level. Likey keeps the door wide open with twists and trysts. The humor oozes great fun, especially in some of his characters’ names. For fans of erotica, especially with vampires, you will love to sink your teeth in this one".

“Vampires, Werewolves, and Whips… Oh My” Blood Relations by Dr, Michael Likey was definitely one of the wildest things I’ve read in a long time. Blood Relations is a no-holds-barred mashup of vampire myth, erotic fantasy, and old-school pulp horror. Think Dracula with a heavy dose of unfiltered imagination and a taste for the taboo. The story follows an immortal trio — a vampire prince, his vampiric bride, and a shape-shifting werewolf — through centuries of bloodlust, lust-lust, and dark mischief. I really appreciated the creativity here — it’s dripping with atmosphere and isn’t afraid to go all-in on its vision. It’s bold, theatrical, and unapologetically over-the-top, which feels like exactly the point. The throwback pulp style gave it a nostalgic, almost comic-book feel in parts, and there’s something fun about how unrestrained it is. Definitely not your everyday vampire story — it’s its own beast entirely. -Tommy Burnett

"Unique and Original
The unique supernatural
elements and characters
brings perspective not
encountered in this genre.
The originality and play on
words makes it interesting to decipher". -Djinn73

From Holly Knightley
"I’m in the horror and erotica phase of my life. God have mercy on my soul.
Dr. Michael has done it again! Humor, horror, and lots of smut. You guys are going to want to check this out!
MY FULL REVIEW:

Dr. Michael Likey delivers with his second installment in the Blood Relations series! The lusty shenanigans continue in the Vampyre as Baron Dumay and his witchy mother are thrown into the mix. Sexual escapades, vampire hunters, restless spirits, and an all-girls school with a naughty headmistress makes for another spell bound, scantily clad vampire orgy! The Vampyre will leave you craving part three."

From Holly Knightley:
"Wolves, vampires, and sex, oh my! Dr. Michael Likey concludes the Blood Relations series with a bite! Wolfe, the third and final volume in a laugh out loud vampire erotica, does not disappoint! The vampire hunters have their hands full. The Dumays are working at a funeral home, and the invisible man is getting in on the action. Oh, and there’s a werewolf and he’s from London! Things get hairy to say the least!  You’re not going to want to miss this!"
From Michael Kelly:
"'Blood Relations' is a book that defies pigeon-holing, it is simultaneously a comedic horror comedy. The setting is defined by horror, as the story focuses upon a small group of vampires (and one werewolf), and yes, things get quite unashamedly gory at times. However, the horror is slightly subservient to the erotica. The story proceeds in a state of perpetual arousal, and the sexual situations are graphic, sparing no blushes. But the erotic elements are themselves subservient to the humour - this is a very, very funny book. And all of this adds up to a combination that I adore; the balance is perfect.
This does mean that it will take you off guard at times, however, when the horror reasserts itself suddenly and violently, just when everything had been so sexy and light-hearted, and a main character is brutally slain before you have chance to notice the change in pace. This too is as it should be; the shock is real, and devastating. In fact, this narrative trick is repeated at least three times and it blind-sided me every time.
It's a short novel at 160ish pages and it leaves you wanting more. So it's a good job it's the first of a trilogy, and I will now go read the others!"
