Just a note: When Mike started performing in Winnipeg, he called himself "Merlin", then "Michael Merlin". A few years later he called himself "Magic Michael Merlin", then finally, "Magic Mike", after his childhood hero, "Magic Tom" Auburn who appeared on Montreal television for more than twenty years!
Years later, after re-locating to Vancouver, Canada, and due to a proliferation of the name "Magic Mike" in North America, Michael added his surname to his stage-name. (Magic Mike Likey)
